C.da Poggioragone, 56I - 65014 Loreto Aprutino, PE, Italy
Estate Owned by: the Albanese Family | Winemaker: Fausto Albanesi | Agronomist: Adriana Galasso | Viticulture Method: Certified Organic | Extension: 21 hectares | Estate Founded: 1999 | Winery Production Total: 100.000 Btls.
The estate takes its name from a detail of an important 15th century fresco decorating the counter façade of the local church, S. Maria in Piano. The Tower of the Blessed represents the final goal of souls newly arrived in the afterlife, after facing difficult trials. This parable reflects the guiding principle of the estate: through very strict selections in the vineyard and cellar, every year, we aim for the best possible expression of traditional grape varieties grown in the particularly favourable area of Loreto Aprutino. The winery was established in 1999, when Fausto and Adriana Albanesi decided to take over the management of the old family vineyard, immediately converting it to organic, in the conviction that a wine’s quality is closely linked to respect for the terroir where it is produced. Hectares under vine: 21
