Walter Massa is a forward-thinking trailblazer who resurrected the prestige of the nearly abandoned varietal Timorasso. Due to the difficulty of managing the vines, it had been almost entirely out of use and substituted by the Cortese varietal.

In 1987 Walter began supporting the continuity of Timorasso by vinifying it by itself. He also contributed to a cultural revolution by establishing rigorous guidelines that were adapted by his local consortium and later by the government. The value of his pioneering path has been proven and noticed by all, so much so that it has drawn others in the Tortonese area to follow along. These excellent wines have a big personality, are immediately pleasing but also long-lasting, and are capable of finding equal fans among beginner wine drinkers and the most discriminating palates.

There are three versions of Timorasso, each a winning combination of harmony, minerality, and fullness. The rest of the high quality production features Barbera, Croatina, and Freisa.
