Located in the heart of Monferrato, one of the most famous wine-growing regions in the world, this company originated in 1920 thanks to Domenico Stella, who was known as Giaiet. Several gold medals, received at the Turin Trade Fair in 1928, testify to the company’s early success.
Domenico Stella, in addition to knowing the art of how to make wine, was also a music teacher. Today his descendants Giuseppe Stella, and his sons Massimo and Paolo, have dedicated more than one wine to him: the Maestro, a Barbera d'Asti Superiore produced from a vineyard over eighty years old, grown in the Bricco Fubine plot, as well as another Barbera and a Chardonnay with the name of Giaiet, which in Piedmontese dialect means “with reddish-yellow hair”.
The company is family-run and cultivates 12 hectares of vineyards of Barbera, Dolcetto, Grignolino, Cortese, Chardonnay and Moscato without the use of systemic herbicides and pesticides.
