La Source is located in Saint-Pierre, a small town in the center of Valley of Aosta behind the ancient, magnificent castle of the same name. For centuries the area has been famous for its vineyards which are totally exposed to the sun and shielded from the cold north winds. The winery is managed by Stefano Celi with the help of his family and cultivates a mix of international grapes as well as traditional local varietals. 

La Source was founded in 2003 by a group of young farmers who pooled together their knowledge and experiences, each having grown up in multi-generational agricultural families. The winery is currently owned by the Celi-Cuc family, headed by Stefano Celi. Guided by his own multi-generational family history of farming in the Valle D’Aosta, Stefano graduated in 1971 from the Institute Salesiano di Lombriasco with a degree in agricultural engineering. After several different work experiences that always including farming part-time, in 2005 he began working full-time in agriculture and viticulture. The winery boasts 6.5 hectares of specialized DOC vineyards. Stefano personally cares for the vineyards by choosing techniques that help the grapes best express their full potential.
