BAROLO Massara 2015
BAROLO Massara 2015
The Massara vineyard was purchased in 1910 by Cavalier G.B. Burlotto directly from the House of Savoy. The vineyard in Verduno, is one of the areas with a high viticultural vocation, located at 265 meters above sea level, on an area of 1.22 hectares entirely planted with Nebbiolo. The soil consists of white earth with a prevalent calcareous-clay composition, with a happy East-South-East exposure. A scrupulous manual selection of the grapes helps to create a wine capable of surprising longevity and power. It ages 33 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 16 months of bottle aging.
