Tasting Notes

Dry red wine. Fairly intense ruby red colour with hints of purple. It has a vinous, fragrant bouquet when young and with ageing gains depth and an ethereal quality with delicate notes of cooked cherries and slightly wilted rose petals. It has a well-balanced, slightly dry flavour with gentle tannins. It leaves a pleasantly astringent aftertaste.

Food Pairing

It pairs well with white meats, especially rabbit, medium-matured cheeses and, if served at a slightly cooler temperature, goes well with elaborate fish dishes such as dishes using dried cod and stewed octopus.
