Alfio Carpini founded and directed Il Coventino until 2003 when it passed into the hands of the Brini family. For the past 30 years the winery has been known for producing organic wines in the enchanting town of Montepulciano and exemplifying the harmonious partnership that is possible between humans and nature. Situated at 600 m above sea level, the vineyards sit atop a ridge between the Val di Chiana and the Val d’Orcia in the province of Siena. Alberto Brini was among the first in the area to adhere to organic production standards; he keeps a respectful balance between tradition and technical innovation.
