Here are answers to all the Frequently Asked Questions about our Vine Rental Gifts

1. WHAT EXACTLY DO I RECEIVE?

- A ‘Vineyard Rental’ certificate
- An Invitation Letter to inspect your row of vines at any time, to try your hand at picking 
and participate in a ‘vendemmia’ (harvest) celebration.
- 6 bottles of our "Pargolo" red wine, a DOCG Chianti Classico - Sangiovese, Merlot
- Your name on a personalized hand-crafted plaque (from reclaimed aged oak barrels) 
on your set of vines in the vineyard for your year of membership
-  A newsletter about what’s happening in the vineyard

2. DOES THE VINE RENTAL PERIOD HAVE A TIME LIMIT?

Yes, our scheme offers you the rental for one year only, but will offer you the latest vintages of our wines at preferential prices for ever.

3. CAN I VISIT THE VINEYARD?

Ilaria Tachis, the owner at Podere La Villa, is passionate about wine and is delighted to welcome you, by appointment, at any time. She can offer you not just a tour of the vineyards, but also a tasting of the wine she produces. There are no additional costs for visiting the vineyard or for the tasting.

4. DO I RECEIVE UPDATES FROM THE VINEYARD?

Yes, we will provide you with not just a harvest report but will also inform you when the wines win medals at prestigious tasting competitions.

5. WHAT VINES ARE PLANTED AT PODERE LA VILLA?

Your vines are a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

6. WHEN DO I RECEIVE THE WINE FROM MY VINES?

We normally send you a case of 6 bottles  of the latest available vintage at the time of your order. Otherwise, you can choose to wait until the upcoming harvest which is normally in September. In that case, please consider that the wine will  then be stored in vats or oak barrels for about 18 months before being released.

7. CAN I BUY  WINE WHEN I VISIT YOU?

Yes you can buy all the Podere La Villa wines at preferential rates.

8. WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE VINE RENTAL GIFT CERTIFICATE?

The certificate has been signed by the wine maker and the owner at Podere La Villa and has the name of the recipient and sender printed on it.

9. IS THE RENTAL CERTIFICATE FRAMED?

No, but the A4 size means that ready made frames are available at many high street locations.

10. HOW LONG DOES THE DELIVERY TAKE?

The gift package is available for immediate delivery.

11. ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS?

No, the Gift Box will be delivered to your door free of charge.

12. IS THE WINE DELIVERED TO MY DOOR?

Yes the wine is delivered direct to your door. Please advise on the order when someone will be available to sign for the gift.

13. DO YOU DELIVER TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU?

Yes, but there will be additional delivery charges that will come up in the checkout once you have selected the destination.

14. ARE THERE ANY OTHER COSTS?

No, the €159.95 is the only amount you pay for the gift. Additional bottles purchased in later years are chargeable.
