Founded by Marino Piacitelli in 1993, Morgassi Superiore is considered a symbol of excellence in the production of Gavi. It is made from white Cortese grapes cultivated in the municipality of Gavi and is certified DOCG. Marino taught his two daughters, Marina and Cecilia his techniques of making high quality wines and now they carry on his legacy by unifying tradition with innovative technology. Morgassi is a 50-hectare estate, about 20 of which are dedicated to vineyards. They extend over steep hills rich in limestone and clay and enjoy a south/southwest exposure. The sisters utilize an expert team of professionals including an agronomist, enologist, and vintner to keep a close eye on the different phases of production both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
