Contadin is a traditional Barolo fermented in steel utilizing a traditional technique called “submerged cap maceration.” It ages in 20-Hl Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months and then rests in the bottle for another 8 months.
Description
Tasting Notes
Transparent ruby red with granite hues. Complex and evolved perfumes, dense dog rose, mulberry, black sour cherry, and aromatic herbs. Structure and elegance are balanced out by well-defined tannins and distinct mineral traces. The finish is clean and tenacious, releasing spicy notes.
Food Pairing
Granite colored with orange hues; intense perfumes of prune, liquorice, spices, and truffles. Full-flavoried, tannic, and balsamic.
